The history of festivals of chamber art in Kostomuksha began 14 years back, when in our city the first festival was held. Then it reflected as prolongation already becoming known of a festival of chamber music in the Finnish city Kuhmo. However soon it became the independent phenomenon in cultural life not only Northwest, but also all Russia. But also, it has developed frameworks only musical and became the present holiday of arts in the diversified genres.
  Here, in Kostomuksha, there is a unique atmosphere, in which one the beating of pulse of high skill is felt more clearly and more deeply, in which one the surprising unification of the actors, executors both their grateful listeners and spectators lives. The common level of cultural development of the townspeople is high enough to understand and to feel the present arts. But they not so spoilt general fair of entertainments to be dispossessed cleannesses of perception.
