The Academy was created at the initiative of Valery Gergiev, artistic director of the Mariinsky Theatre. Over a shot period of time, it has already won recognition both in Russia and abroad. The Academy's active participation in the production, concerts and festivals of the Mariinsky Theatre allows its young artists to fully manifest their talent.
The Academy pedagogues, conductors, stage directors and accompanists teach the students acting skills, stage movement, foreign languages and everything else necessary to mould a world-class opera soloist.
Vocal classes and consultations are taken by the Academy teachers Nikolai Okhotnikov, Grair Khanedanian, Konstantin Pluzgnikov and Galina Gorchakova. Regular master-classes are given by such renowned singers and masters of world opera as Renata Scotto, Elena Obraztsova, Fedora Barbieri, Matti Palm and Gianandrea Noseda in St Petersburg (Mariinsky Theatre), London (Covent Garden) and New York (Metropolitan Opera). The director of the Academy is Konstantin Pluzgnikov, a famous Russian tenor and vocal tutor.
The artistic director Larisa Gergieva, has won recognition as one of the world's finest vocal accompanists and is director and jury member of many prestigious internetional competitions.
On a coast of the river Fontanka, in a shadow of century trees of a Izmailovskiy garden the Youth theatre, one of best in St. Petersburg on an atmosphere and spectator love is posed. Created in 1980 by Vladimir Malishitskiy it at once has declared itself as the theatre of an innovative producing which is taking place in opposition to authorities - theatre publicistic and is acute social. On a boundary of centuries, and it became already law, the new no conventional ideas and projects are born. The founder of a Double Duet became the soloist of known Petersburg ensemble "Terem- quartet" Igor Ponomarenko. Igor, as well as other participants of MA.GR.IG.AL is a student of a Conservatory by N.Rimskiy-Korsakov. But being the students, all of them were held as the professional musicians working in various genres of tool music - symphonic, jazz, national, vanguard.
idea by Igor Ponomarenko have supported and have approved professors of a conservatory, colleagues - musicians. But is important that Igor has seen in young collective an opportunity of continuation of creative activity and embodiment of the planned plans, ideas of development original ensemble's playing of music.
the double duet was born on April 4, 2000 on a stage of Small drama theatre of Europe, taking part in evenings of memory Neginskiy and Nuriev. April 15 has executed an opera А.Tchaykovskiy "Motia and Saveliy - Mozart and Saliery" on a festival S.Kurehin in the Baltic House. May 30 the Double duet has presented the first solo program " dear by love "from products of the French authors (Saty, Debussy, Meyerber, Massne, Pulenk, Miyo, Planket, Guno, Bize, Fore, Ravel) together with A.Slavniy (the baritone) and I.Ioff (violin) on a stage of the palace of princes Beloselskie-Belozerskie, and May 31 together with troupe of musical theatre "Zazerkalie" has executed a musical I/Ponomarenko "Passions on Kashtanka" (performance - winner in various of the theatrical premium of St. Petersburg "Gold spotlights " and maximum theatrical premium of Russia "Gold mask"). Per day of a birth A.Pushkin a Double duet "MA.GR.IG.AL" has presented the new program together with A.Slavniy in the House a museum of the poet (romances of the Russian composers on verses by Pushkin). Took part on festivals "Gostinniy a court yard " (Orenburg, June 2000) and on a festival of chamber music (Lomonosov, June 2000).

the ensemble was created in November, 1994, and in December of the same year debuted on the international festival of jazz music - "Stars and we", which drove in Petrozavodsk. Within two next years the ensemble actively participated in all cultural measures of city, and also the Republics Kareliya, for what in 1997 were received by the status of municipal ensemble. In July, 1999 within the framework of realization of measures connected to celebrating of day of formation of city Tubingen (Germany) and ten years' anniversary of
sworn brother-hood communications of Petrozavodsk and Tubingen, the ensemble was included in structure of a cultural delegation for performances with the concert program in urban administration and on scenic platforms of Tubingen. Pleasant unexpectedness has appeared joint game with known English dixiland "Savoy Jazz".

The performances(statement) of ensemble have caused the positive response and interest to the further cooperation a management of a department of culture Tubingen, and ministry of justice of ground BADEN-WURTTEMBERG.
In August, 1999 within the framework of realization of days of culture of. Petrozavodsk in Йоэнсуу (Finland) the ensemble participated in the celebratory program, acting on stages of city, then was invited in studio for record CD, and also in a network of cities - Joensuu, Varkaus, Kuopio for realization of jazz evenings. In May, 1999 there was to the public first CD of ensemble - "Down by the river side". The following CD now prepares for record where the evergreen jazz themes and Russian folklore in processing " The Karelian Dixie Drive Band" will enter.
There are 7 men in ansemble. All musicians have professional music education. In repertoire of ensemble more than 50 treatments by that both domestic and foreign authors. The collective constantly improves one's professional skill and works above expansion of repertoire.
For the first course of a conservatory her professional debut at concerts in Musical Academy and Philharmonic Hall in Prague was held. She is ripe the main role Marfa in an opera Rimskiy-Korsakov "The Imperial bride" in Moscow and Leningrad.
In 1984 E.Mirtova has won prestigious competition by Glinka. In 1987 she became the winner of the International vocal competition by Dvorgak in Karlovi Vary. In 1989 acts in a memorial concert Gerbert fon Karajan in the Berlin philharmonic society.
In 1989 singers was invited in the Kirov theatre. E.Mirtova became the winner in 1991 FIDEZA/PARMA of competition Verdy. Sang Iolanta in an Old Opera of Frankfurt, where had brilliant success. In 1992 in Omaha Opera was held a Elena Mirtova debut in USA in a party Leonora.
Ludmila Razumovskaja has finished the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music both Cinematography in 1974г. and Maximum Theatrical Courses in Moscow in 1979г.
Debuted as the playwright by the play "Elena Sergeevna" 1981 in Tallinn. The play has received the large resonance in Russia, and subsequently and abroad, where it continues to go on stages of different theatres of the world twenty years. Under same play in 1987г. by the director E.Rjazanov the film with the same name was taken off. In 1989г. in publishing house "Art" there was a collection of the plays "A Garden without ground", which included six best and most popular plays written by Razumovskaja. In the same year one of the largest Soviet film directors I.Heyfets has taken off last film "The Vagrant bus" under the script Razumovskaja.
< br> Per 90-th years Razumovskaja continues to work in dramatic art, being printed in the Moscow magazines "Playwright" and " Modern dramatic art ", and also in the Petersburg almanac "Landskorona". The greatest popularity in Russia was won by her plays "Your sister and captive" and "The Vladimir area". The majority of the plays written per last years: - "Home", " the End eightieth ", "Life Yura Kurickin and his near", "The French passions on a summer residence near Moskow", - are put abroad: in Germany, Switzerland, Yugoslavia, Greece, Finland and other countries.

Since 1985 Salavatov - main conductor of a State Philharmonic Orchestra Kazakhstan (Alma-Ata) and artistic director of the Kazakh State opera. As the invited conductor Rinat Salavatov worked, acted and actively went on tour with all known orchestras of former Soviet Union. Among them the Symphonic orchestra of the Leningrad Philarmonic society, State Symphonic orchestra of USSR, orchestra of the Large theatre, Symphonic orchestras of Alma-Ata, Tashkent, Yerevan, Ekaterinburg, Yalta, Sochi etc. Salavatov acted in Parisian Grand Opera, worked with the Dublin ballet orchestra, went on tour in Bolonghja, Birmingham, Salerno, Seville, New Yourk, Los Angelous.
In 1990 Rinat Salavatov was invited V.Gergiev to a post of the main invited conductor of Mariinskiy theatre. Together with theatre Salavatov went on tour in Great Britain, France, Italy, Ireland and Germany.
In 1991 Rinat Salavatov has received the invitation to occupy a post of the constant conductor of the Bavarian State opera, where all basic ballet repertoire ("Sleeping beauty", Gizel "Natcracker", "Romio and Dguly") conducted.
< br> In 1994 Rinat Salavatov was invited as the conductor in a Royal Opera of Stockholm, where his(its) repertoir is made bysuch products as "Don Kihot", " Natcracker ", "Per Gunt" Shnitke, "Madam Butterfly" etc.
In a season 2000 - 2001 Rinat Salavatov again is invited in Mariinsky theatre, where conducted premieres of ballets "Manon" on music Massne and "Petrushka".

Has ended the Leningrad conservatory on specialties choral conducting at A.Niklusov (1987) and solo singing at E.Gromova, I.Alekseeva (1990), has passed training at K.Plugnikov (1993). To 150 years from birthday Rimskiy-Korsakov (1994) has written down 40 romances and 4 concert duets of the composer. Has written down 21 vocal compositions S.Prokofiev (1995) and product of other authors. Among last operations of the singer a partyof a baritone in "The Militarian requiem" by Britten (Has executed in the Large hall of the Moscow conservatory and Large hall of the Petersburg philharmonic society, 1998, Japanese philharmonic orchestra, conductors S.Odzava and M.Rastropovich). In 1999 and 2000 Participated in statement of an opera Prokofiev "War and world" in a National opera of Paris. Since 1994 annually will carry out(spend) solo concerts and piano duets in Southern Korea.
Now teaches on faculty of a piano in a musical school and on faculty of a piano in кан-us and Чон-splints universities.
Will give concerts 24 and August 25 outside of the basic program of a festival.
